Under former President George Bush the stock market plunged into the 6000 range, gas spiraled upwards to over four dollars in some places (where I live it reached $3.50), and unemployment began its rise to dangerous levels.
Eleven months into Obama's presidency--stocks are now back in the 10,000's, gas is nowhere near three dollars anywhere (where I live it's not even $2.40)) and unemployment is finally beginning to hold steady and, in fact, drop.
